Welcome to Physical Education at Berkley Community School!

My goal this year, and every year, is to make physical education an exciting, positive, fun, challenging, and educational experience for all students. It is my belief that sufficient physical activity is not only critical in improving and maintaining a student’s physical health and well-being, it will also help them to perform better during academic time in the classroom.

Students will learn movement and sport skills throughout the year in order to be able to participate in a variety of activities in the areas of games, dance, and gymnastics. It is my hope that students will use the skills and concepts that they learn and practice in PE class in order to keep them active for at least 60 minutes per day!

Please use this site as a resource for PE-related information and if you have any further questions please feel free to email me at bvallone@berkleypublicschools.org

"Athletics are great. But physical education is for every youngster -- to help them learn about themselves, learn about their bodies, learn ways to become physically active but not necessarily to compete."
